Apologetics Study Bible For Students( from Holmon)
( review from me) All bibles are not alike. If you want
a bible that will encourage you to dig deeper into the word
and give you tips and tricks to answer those tough questions that
you get asked by your peers. It includes articles, study notes, twisted
scriptures( speaking truth to 60 of the most misused scriptures)
, bones and dirt( archaeological finds relating to scriptures), notable quotes(
quotes from Christian figures), challenges and tactics( to equip you to share the
gospel), personal stories, and fast facts. It’s easy to read in the Holmon’s version(
similar to NIV.), and it is the best bible I’ve ever had! You can get it from christianbook.com.

Radical by David Platt:
IS JESUS WORTH THIS TO YOU?
It’s easy for American Christians to forget how Jesus said his followers would actually live, what their new lifestyle would actually look like. They would, he said, leave behind security, money, convenience, even family for him. They would abandon everything for the gospel. They would take up their crosses daily…
BUT WHO DO YOU KNOW WHO LIVES LIKE THAT? DO YOU?
In Radical, David Platt challenges you to consider with an open heart how we have manipulated the gospel to fit our cultural preferences. He shows what Jesus actually said about being his disciple–then invites you to believe and obey what you have heard. And he tells the dramatic story of what is happening as a “successful” suburban church decides to get serious about the gospel according to Jesus.
Finally, he urges you to join in The Radical Experiment –a one-year journey in authentic discipleship that will transform how you live in a world that desperately needs the Good News Jesus came to bring.
Crazy Love by Francis Chan:
God is love. Crazy, relentless, all-powerful love. Have you ever wondered if we’re missing it? It’s crazy, if you think about it. The God of the universe—the Creator of nitrogen and pine needles, galaxies and E-minor—loves us with a radical, unconditional, self-sacrificing love. And what is our typical response? We go to church, sing songs, and try not to cuss. Whether you’ve verbalized it yet or not…we all know somethings wrong. Does something deep inside your heart long to break free from the status quo? Are you hungry for an authentic faith that addresses the problems of our world with tangible, even radical, solutions? God is calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself. Because the answer to religious complacency isn’t working harder at a list of do’s and don’ts—it’s falling in love with God. And once you encounter His love, as Francis describes it, you will never be the same. Because when you’re wildly in love with someone, it changes everything.

The Modern English Edition of Pilgrim’s Progress
Now in Modern English. Just as relevant today as it was when John Bunyan wrote it in his cell in the Bedford County Jail, The Pilgrim’s Progress is the story of every Christian—from the first stirrings of the Holy Spirit beckoning us to follow Christ, to our final arrival in the Celestial City of God.
No book throughout the centuries has ever told better the struggles and temptations of every Christian, and the final and glorious victory. At one time no home was considered to be Christian if it did not have a Bible, Foxe’s Book of Martyrs, and The Pilgrim’s Progress.
Your children will read it for the excitement of the story, and you’ll be challenged and trained by its invaluable teaching and the depth of its doctrine.
em>Ishbane Conspiracy by Randy Alcorn and his daughters:
Jillian is picture-perfect on the outside, but terrified of getting hurt on the inside. Brittany is a tough girl who trusts almost no one. Ian is a successful athlete who dabbles in the occult. And Rob is a former gang-banger who struggles with guilt, pain, and a newfound faith in God. These four college students will face the ultimate battle between good and evil in a single year. As spiritual warfare rages around them, a dramatic demonic correspondence takes place. Readers can eavesdrop on the enemy, and learn to stave off their own defeat, by reading The Ishbane Conspiracy.
Lord Foulgrin’s Letters( sequel to Ishabane Conspiracy) by Randy Alcorn and his daughters:
This repack of Randy Alcorn’s gripping bestseller delivers us from ignorance of the devil’s schemes. Foulgrin, a high-ranking demon, instructs his subordinate on how to deceive and destroy Jordan Fletcher and his family. It’s like placing a bugging device in hell’s war room, where we overhear our enemies assessing our weaknesses and strategizing attack. Lord Foulgrin’s Letters is a Screwtape Letters for our day, equally fascinating yet destinctly different — a dramatic story with earthly characters, setting, and plot. A creative, insightful, and biblical depiction of spiritual warfare, this book will guide readers to Christ-honoring counterstrategies for putting on the full armor of God and resisting the devil. Alcorn says to win the battle we must know our God, know ourselves, and know our enemy. Lord Foulgrin’s Letters, in unparalleled and compelling fashion, helps us better know each.
I Dared to Call Him Father by H. Schneider and Bilquis Sheikh:
I Dared to Call Him Father is the fascinating true story of Bilquis Sheikh, a prominent Muslim woman. Her unusual journey to a personal relationship with God turned her world upside down-and put her life in danger. Originally published in 1978, the book has sold 300,000 copies and is a classic in Muslim evangelism. The 25th anniversary edition includes an afterword by a missionary friend of Bilquis who plays a prominent role in the story and an appendix on how the East enriches the West.
All three Lord of the Rings Books ( I couldn’t find a review that included
all three, but trust me, they’re worth reading)
Write these down, read them, and soak them in. These are some books that will
strengthen your faith.
